2. Collection and storage of personal data; nature and purpose of its use

When you visit the website, the browser on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is stored temporarily in a so-called log file. The following information is recorded without any action on your part and stored until it is deleted automatically:

We process this data for the following purposes: ensuring a smooth connection and comfortable use of the website, evaluating system security and stability, and further administrative purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes listed. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to draw conclusions about you as a person. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

Hosting: The website is hosted by it-serv.de, Mario Rudolph, Am Ortfelde 51, 30916 Isernhagen, Germany. The provider processes the data named above on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.

You can contact us for any questions via the e-mail addresses given on the website. We process the data transmitted in this way (at least your e-mail address) to handle your enquiry on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) and (b) GDPR. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, at the latest after three months, unless a contractual relationship has arisen from the enquiry.

3. Disclosure of data

Your personal data is not transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only pass on your personal data to third parties if you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR, if disclosure is necessary pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being disclosed, if there is a legal obligation to disclose pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (c) GDPR, or if this is legally permissible and necessary pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (b) GDPR to process contractual relationships with you.

4. Cookies

This website sets no cookies and no comparable identifiers in your browser. No usage profiles are created and no data is transmitted to advertising networks.

5. Cookie-free audience measurement

To learn how many people visit our site, we count page views with our own procedure running on our server. No cookie is set and no IP address is stored. From the current date, a secret server value, your IP address and your browser identifier, a shortened check value is generated once; it cannot be traced back to you, changes daily and is deleted after two days at the latest. Only daily totals (page views, visitors) are stored permanently. Recognition across several days or websites is impossible. If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, your visit is not counted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in audience measurement with minimal intrusion (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR).

6. Fonts, maps and embedded content

Fonts are loaded from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or other font providers.

Track outlines in the race calendar are stored as graphics on our server (data source: OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). No connection to OpenStreetMap is made when you view them.

Instagram posts ("Moment of the week" and the moments for the individual races) are retrieved by our server at regular intervals from the team's Instagram account and made available on our website. When the post texts are loaded, your browser does not connect to Meta. The preview images of the posts are loaded from servers of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.; in doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Meta. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an up-to-date presentation of our activities (Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR). If you follow a link to Instagram, YouTube or Facebook, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.

Videos and sound recordings on this website are stored on our own server; no video platforms are embedded.

8. Right to object

Where your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation, or where the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case you have a general right to object, which we will implement without you having to state a particular situation. To exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, an e-mail to info@attemptoracing.de is sufficient.

9. Data security

During your visit we use the widespread TLS procedure (HTTPS) with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can tell whether a page is transmitted in encrypted form by the padlock symbol in the address bar of your browser. We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
